This page explains how this website handles information about its visitors, who owns what on the site, and the basis on which you use it.
Privacy notice
Who publishes this site. Dr Darryl Carlton, an individual based in Jersey, Channel Islands. Questions about this notice or about information held in connection with an enquiry: darryl.carlton@me.com.
What the site does. The pages are static files. The site sets no cookies and has no accounts, forms, comment system, newsletter sign-up, analytics or advertising code, and it loads nothing from third parties. These are properties of the site's own responses and can be checked in any browser.
Information processed, and by whom.
- Delivering the pages. The site is served by the hosting and content-delivery provider bunny.net (BunnyWay d.o.o.). Like any web host it receives the technical information a browser sends with each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time and browser details, in order to deliver the page and operate and protect the service. What the provider does with that information is described in its own documentation: bunny.net privacy policy.
- Email enquiries. If you write to the address above, your message, including your name, email address and anything else you include, is received in a mailbox on the me.com service, which is provided by Apple (iCloud Mail). The message is used to respond to you. Apple's handling of mail on its service is described in the Apple privacy policy.
Scope of this notice. It covers this website and enquiries sent to the address above. It does not specify retention periods, and it does not cover a separate professional engagement; the handling of information in an engagement is agreed as part of that engagement's own terms.
Your rights. Where the Data Protection (Jersey) Law 2018 or another applicable data-protection law gives you rights over personal data held about you, such as access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection or portability, you may exercise them by emailing the address above.
Regulator. The data-protection regulator for Jersey is the Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner: jerseyoic.org, where you can raise a concern.

Each retains its own rights and licence at its source: the publisher's pages for the books, the journal's pages for the articles, LinkedIn for the newsletter and Podbean for the podcast. This site links to those sources and does not reproduce the works; its summaries are Dr Carlton's own descriptions of them.
