What the book covers
The book opens with where AI came from and how existing legal and ethical frameworks already bear on it, then sets out eight guiding principles for AI, each with practical guidance on how an organisation can uphold it and worked examples. The later chapters turn the principles into assessments that a governance function can actually run.
It is written for executives, board members and practitioners who need a governance approach that survives contact with real projects: not a statement of values alone, but a way of checking whether an AI system, a supplier or a programme is meeting them.
